German fans would, rightly in my opinion, strongly oppose any attempts to change 50+1. Leipzig are the most hated Team in the Bundesliga due to their system. I think the answer lies in a more equal distribution of tv money and more revenue generation via foreign tv rights etc.

I'm from Munich but grew up as a TSV 1860 München fan, "the other" Munich club, listening to the tales of the Meisterschaft 1966.
We're in the 3rd division now. Generally I would describe being an 1860 fan as a humbling experience, but the fans who are left are real ones.

In the US they talk about the New York Yankees dominating baseball, but the Yankees have won 29 championships in 120 years. 30 championships in 50 years? This sounds like in the old Soviet Hockey League, how the Red Army team would win the championship every year because if another team found a good player, he'd get drafted into the Army, LOL.
The US public TV network PBS used to carry a Bundesliga "Match of the Week" show called "Soccer Made In Germany" back in the late 70's and early 80's, and I used to watch it regularly, so ended up following the Bundesliga. That was the Rummenigge-Breitner Bayern. They were a great team, but I remember also Hamburg and Wereder Bremen being powerful teams and the equal of Bayern. I haven't followed soccer in a long time, but now I understand that Hamburg & Werder Bremen aren't even in the Bundesliga anymore. They've been relegated! That's terrible! But Bayern keeps on winning.
One other thing. Breitner was my favorite player. Then one day I hear him interviewed and he talks about how much he hates the United States, LOL. I think he was more of a supporter of the Baader-Meinhof faction. Oh well, so it goes with the heroes of our youth.

But there are 2 Clubs that are 100% by companies – Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg(VW)
correction, Red Bull does not "make" energy drinks, they only are included in the marketing of them/ their brand… the actual manufacturing of them is offloaded onto other companies… this is part of the reason why you see the Red Bull brand buying up numerous soccer clubs in Germany, USA, and France etc… they are continuing to market their brand, drink, while pushing their way into the footballing world with cooperative farm teams that can grow players and cycle them to the top leagues (under their control) without unreasonable transfer fees getting in the way, therefore more easily creating effective super teams maybe one day… the more you know
LOL I think you showed why Bayern owns the Bundesliga in the first 10 seconds. The rest of the Bundesliga is just another youth academy for Bayern. But it does take a good eye to poach the right players that fits the team, which they have done exceptionally well.

I think I just noticed a bit of a misconception when it comes to what a salary cap is at 17:00, a salary cap is not a limit on how much money an individual can make. But it's a limit on how much money a team can spend. Take the NHL, which has a salary cap of 81.5 million dollars. Now, there's a few wacky rules that they have that have zero correlation to football due to the massive league structure differences, but the overall premise is that the annual player salaries cannot be higher than 81.5 million dollars. I dont think anyone would ever propose an individual salary limit on how much a single player can make, even the MLS with their salary cap has designated players specifically so they can bypass that, but a limit on aggregate wages would be an interesting proposal.
We have a similar team in Norway which has a history of dominating Eliteserien (Norway's Bundesliga). It's the team from Trondheim called "Rosenborg" being champions 26 times since 1937. And they're the ones who have held the champion titlde for the longest. With the period between 1992 and 2003 being the time they dominated the longest. But they've won several other times, tho not consecutively. It's only recently they've seen a decline where a couple other teams have been able to win the series. Those teams being Brann, Molde, Stabæk, Strømsgodset, Vålerenga, and most recently from 2020 to now, the legendary team that Jose Mourinho has nightmares about, Bodø Glimt.
